These activities are organized and operated in accredited higher education institutions, following evaluation by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education based on its own framework methodology (cf. Code: UMFST-REG-101 Edition 02). The PPLR program operates legally in accordance with <strong>Order no. 5516 of July 26, 2024, regarding the organization and conduct of the preparatory year of Romanian language for foreign citizens.<\/strong><\/p>\n","wysiwyg_5t0s3p61prl":"<p><strong><u>General Objective<\/u>: <\/strong>The assimilation of communication competencies in Romanian at a minimum level of B1 (independent user), in accordance with the <em>Common European Framework of Reference for Languages<\/em> by non-EU foreign citizens who wish to enroll in study programs in Romanian language at university or post-university level in Romania.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Specific Objectives and Linguistic Competencies descriptors<\/u>(according to CEFR):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Formation and development of the four components of linguistic communication competence in Romanian (linguistic competence and pragmatic competence, sociolinguistic competence, intercultural competence) within the limits of the B1 reference level of the CEFR.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out various communicative activities of reception, production, interaction in oral and\/or written form necessary for the formation of linguistic communication competence in Romanian within the limits of the B1 reference level of the CEFR.<\/li>\n<li>Focusing the teaching-learning process on the communication needs in Romanian language of an independent user (according to CEFR) in various areas of social life: personal domain, public domain, educational domain, and professional domain.<\/li>\n<li>Acquiring professional linguistic communication competence in Romanian at an intermediate level (B1, according to CEFR) by familiarizing students with the specific language features and through the integrated use of content specific of the grammatical structure of the contemporary Romanian language (vocabulary, grammar, semantics, phonology, and spelling), knowledge assimilated independently and integrated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>General Communication Competencies in Romanian (linguistic and pragmatic competencies)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Listening skills (listening and understanding of oral messages)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B1 Understanding the main points of a discourse on familiar topics related to professional activities, school, leisure activities, etc.<\/li>\n<li>B1 Understanding practical information regarding daily life or work, recognizing general messages and some details if presented relatively clearly and at a slow pace.<\/li>\n<li>B1 Understanding an oral discourse in standard Romanian, in direct communication or in radio broadcasts, recordings about familiar or unfamiliar subjects, from personal, social, academic, or professional life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reading skills (reading and understanding of written messages)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B1 Reading with satisfactory understanding of texts written generally in everyday language, pertaining to one\u2019s own professional field and personal interests (description of events, expression of feelings, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Audiovisual reception<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B1 Understanding numerous films where the storyline relies heavily on action and visuals, and where expression is clear and direct.<\/li>\n<li>B1 Understanding essential information from some radio and television programs on familiar topics, if the words are well articulated and pronunciation is clear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Speaking skills (production of oral messages): oral discourse<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B1 Making a simple and coherent description regarding various topics from one\u2019s own field of interest (experiences, events, objectives, etc.) in a linear sequence.<\/li>\n<li>B1 Providing a brief presentation of an event, the subject of a book, or a film.<\/li>\n<li>B1 Briefly arguing opinions from one\u2019s own field of efficient communication skills specific to relationships in the field of social sciences (psychologist \u2013 patient, social worker \u2013 clients, educator \u2013 student, lawyer \u2013 client, bank agent \u2013 client, etc.), utilizing the acquired specific vocabulary.<\/li>\n<li>Correct and coherent execution of specific oral discourses in the field of social sciences: pleading and indictment,
