The Dental Medicine – English study programme operates within the Faculty of Dental Medicine of UMPhST G.E. Palade of Targu Mureş. The history of dental medical education in Mures County dates as far back as 1948. Over 70 generations of dentists, dental nurses and dental technicians, trained and dedicated to a noble profession, along with the experienced teachers, with high professionals, organizational and human skills, have built the competitive image of the faculty, recognized nationally and internationally, for excellence in training specialists.
The educational and research infrastructure, comprised of the Integrated Dental Centre, the simulation and dental imaging department, the teaching and research laboratories and many other facilities for the students, provides a modern, dynamic educational process with complex activities.
During clinical activities and under appropriate supervision of teachers, our dental students and resident doctors perform a wide range of dental procedures, exploring the entrepreneurial side of dentistry.

The Master’s degree programme Dental Medicine for Patients with Special Needs is conducted within the Faculty of Dental Medicine of UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș. The modern infrastructure, comprising the Integrated Dental Medicine Centre, the Dental Simulation and Imaging Unit, as well as advanced research laboratories, ensures optimal conditions for an educational process consistent with European academic and professional standards.

The programme provides rigorous and interdisciplinary training, centred on the diagnosis, prevention, and personalised dental management of patients with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or systemic conditions. The academic and clinical components are delivered under the guidance of highly qualified university staff and are further consolidated through collaboration with specialists in general medicine and pharmaceutical sciences. In this context, students acquire an advanced understanding of chronic diseases, pharmacotherapy and its implications for the oral health of patients with disabilities, as well as the professional competencies required for effective communication with these patients and their families.

The Dental Technology Study Program is part of the UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș Faculty of Dental Medicine. The development of a modern, dynamic educational process, with complex activities is guaranteed by this education and research base at European Standards, comprising of the Integrated Center for Dental Medicine, the Simulation and Dental Imaging Department, teaching and research laboratories, as well as numerous facilities for students. Under the demanding guidance of the faculty's teaching staff, we carry out a wide range of specialized procedures, within the clinical and practical components of the educational process and in complete correlation with the entrepreneurial character of the dental technician profession.
