Among its assets are the tradition spanning over half a century as well as the prestige generated over time by its graduates and faculty. Since 1990, hundreds of teachers, journalists, literary critics, translators, researchers, and even diplomats (including at the UN) have been trained here, benefiting from an engaging and dynamic academic environment, with the effective removal of barriers between masters and disciples. This is complemented by the vibrancy of leading literary journals (\u201cVatra,\u201d \u201cStudia Universitatis Petru Maior. Philologia\u201d), extensive conferences, conventions and seminars that have placed its home city on the intellectual map of Romanian \u2013 English Language and Literature is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the training of specialists in tune with the current level of the development of science and culture, both on a national and global level;<\/li>\n<li>the creation of appropriate conditions for the graduates of the bachelor\u2019s degree program, based on the new paradigm of education, to develop the skills and competencies that graduate\u2019s profession, both from the soft-skills category (creativity, emotional intelligence, but also social intelligence, critical thinking, active learning, interpersonal communication, philology.
