Research Directions

  • Design and synthesis of compounds with biological activity in the pharmaceutical field (active pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs) and cosmetology (cosmetic ingredients, CIs): metal complexes, cyclodextrin complexes, hybrids, and derivatives of known compounds
  • Structural analysis of newly synthesized compounds using spectroscopic, chromatographic, electrophoretic, and thermal methods
  • Structural analysis, development, and validation of new analytical methods (spectroscopic, chromatographic, electrophoretic, and thermal techniques) for the analysis of pharmaceutically relevant substances from raw materials, pharmaceutical or dermato-cosmetic products, as well as biological and environmental samples
  • Structural analysis of APIs and CIs using computational methods
  • Study of chemical interactions and incompatibilities between APIs/CIs and excipients
  • Development of capillary electrophoresis methods for the determination of pharmaceutical substances in pharmaceutical preparations
  • Development of capillary electrophoresis methods for the analysis of chiral pharmaceutical compounds
  • Molecular modeling to obtain insights into the interactions between chiral selectors and enantiomers and to elucidate chiral recognition processes
  • Development of capillary electrophoresis methods for the determination of pharmaceutical compounds in biological samples
  • Control of chiral and achiral impurities in pharmaceutically relevant substances using chromatographic and electrophoretic methods
  • Applications of chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques in food analysis
  • Communication in pharmaceutical practice
