Research Directions

• Development of new pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations: tablets (immediate release, modified release), pellets, hydrogels, microemulsions, nanodispersions, and transdermal patches
• Development of orodispersible preparations (ODx): ODTs – orodispersible tablets, ODFs – orodispersible films, OLs – oral lyophilizates
• Detection of interactions between active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients using qualitative analytical methods (differential scanning calorimetry and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy)
• Development of new cosmetic and dermopharmaceutical products; sensory analysis
• Methods and mechanisms of drug diffusion through the dermal and transdermal layers
• Cosmetic care techniques and alternative methods of cosmetic treatment
• Manufacturing technologies and quality control testing presented using multimedia tools
• Analytical and mathematical statistical methods applied to the study of pharmaceutical and cosmetic product development using specialized software
• Use of expert systems (Sediment Delivery Model – SeDeM) and derived variants such as SeDeM-ODT (Orodispersible Tablets), SeDeM-SLA (Solid-Liquid Adsorption), and SSCD (Semisolid Control Diagram) for the development of new pharmaceutical formulations
