On the 16th and 17th of January 2025, G.E. Palade UMPhST of Târgu Mureş, via the European Security and Countering Disinformation Excellence Centre, will be organising the „Resilient Multicultural Societies in the Face of Hybrid Threats” International Conference, bringing together more than 50 researchers from 9 countries: Romania, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Estonia, Poland, China, Moldova, Georgia, Tunisia, and Algeria.

The event will convene prominent European security experts, researchers, and high-profile policymakers to address the current challenges facing modern societies and provide innovative solutions to enhance European resilience and security.

There are three main themes for the conference programme: “Hybrid Threats, Disinformation, and Political Systems in Historical and Global Contexts”, “Resilience in Multicultural Societies Through Institutional Strength”, and “EU Policies, International Cooperation, and Institutional Resilience”.

This wide-ranging event provides a platform where experts can discuss and exchange ideas, helping to identify viable solutions to the complex challenges of European security in the current global context.

The event is part of activities carried out within the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Security and Combating Disinformation in Multicultural Societies project, a project implemented by G.E. Palade UMPhST of Târgu Mureş and co-funded by the European Union.
