G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures, partner in the ROGEN project

G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures is a partner in ROGEN – the National Genomics Network, a project that brings together 20 institutions from across Romania with a shared noble goal: building the first Romanian National Reference Genome.

ROGEN is a strategic initiative aimed at determining Romania’s National Reference Genome and developing the infrastructure needed for precision medicine.

A national genome means the ability to analyze, store, and use genomic data at population scale — to identify disease predispositions, personalize treatments, and accelerate research in oncology, infectious diseases, cardiology, and other pathologies.

Romania is building this capacity now through collaboration between medical universities, national research institutes, and private sector partners.

Through its academic expertise, research activity, and training of future specialists in medical genetics, G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures contributes to the shared mission of the consortium.

You are invited to follow the official ROGEN page to stay updated on the project’s progress and all stages of building the Romanian National Reference Genome https://www.facebook.com/share/1CR3EkHWNm/.
