The First Edition of the Technology Transfer Festival – TECHConnect

The first edition of the Technology Transfer Festival – TECHConnect will take place from October 7 to 9, 2025, in the cities of Brasov, Sibiu, and Targu Mureș. The event in Targu Mures will be held on October 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the Aula Magna of G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures (Nicolae Iorga Street, no. 1), and it will bring together researchers, companies, investors, and authorities who will connect research results with market needs and validate them as applied innovations in real-world contexts.

The event will feature internationally recognized experts in innovation and technology transfer, including:

  • Yolanda Beenen – Project Leader, Supply Chain Finance Research Group, Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands); Lecturer in International Entrepreneurship, International Business School (IBS), Windesheim
  • Jacek Kasz – Director, Technology Transfer Centre, Cracow University of Technology (Poland)
  • Ali Tavakoli – Lecturer & Project Manager, Faculty of Technology (Intelligent Industry Unit, Resource Wisdom Research Center), Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Finland)

Key stakeholders from the Central Region will also be present, contributing daily to the necessary transformations to accelerate innovation.

The event program includes matchmaking between industry and research, presentations of prototypes and applicable technologies, brokerage sessions, and thematic visits to R&D infrastructures.

TECHConnect is organized by Iceberg+, in partnership with Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures, and CIT-IRECSON. Operationally, technology scouting and matchmaking are provided by CITT I4T, the accredited technology transfer center of Iceberg+, a member of the Enterprise Europe Network.

The event is supported by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Research, through the Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation (CCCDI – UEFISCDI), project number PN-IV-P7-7.4-FTT-2024-0055, under the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation (PNCDI IV).
