Study Duration: 3 years (180 credits), comprising 6 semesters
- the shaping of highly qualified specialists essential in primary and secondary education within the field of physical education and sports, as well as professionals for institutional structures engaged in recreational sports activities;
- the development and refinement of a high-quality undergraduate program, laying the groundwork for a portion of graduates to pursue further knowledge enhancement and specialization through the Master's program in Physical Education and Sports Counseling, doctoral studies, and research activities;
- the outlining of a profile for undergraduate graduates aimed at fostering the development of both general and specialized knowledge, as well as domain-specific cognitive competencies and skills within the field of Physical Education and Sports.
General Objectives
- The advancement of human resources in the Physical Education and Sports specialization with high qualifications for an excellent university education.
- The acquisition of a corpus of scientific knowledge, competencies and specific skills in physical education and sports in order to support the creation and performance of human motor skills;
- The development of scientific research, both specific and interdisciplinary, with the aim of contributing to the evolution of the field of Physical Education and Sports;
- The continuous improvement of graduates through master's and doctoral programs;
- The alignment of the didactic process with the European perspective on education in general and physical education and sports in particular;
- The learning of ethical and deontological professional conduct to optimize intra and interprofessional relationships within educational and sports organizations.
Specific Objectives
- The understanding of the purpose of physical education and sports, modern orientations and methodologies in physical education and sports, their place within the education sciences, legal responsibilities, and ethical considerations of pedagogical professions;
- The accumulation of knowledge and skills necessary for the profession of physical education and sports specialist for primary and secondary education, as described in the developed competencies through the undergraduate program;
- The promotion of physical education and sports as a component of quality education and an integral part of continuous individual development, especially for the younger generation;
- The encouragement of collaboration and partnership among all possible actors, especially families, schools, associations and sports clubs, local communities, decision-makers, and public and private sectors, in order to ensure complementarity in making sports and physical education accessible to all;
- The generalization of physical education and sports as a fundamental tool for health and physical development;
- The acquisition of values related to social cohesion and intercultural dialogue;
- The advancement of innovative means in using physical education and sports as tools for communication and social mobilization, especially at national, regional, and local levels, mobilizing civil society through active participation and targeting the intended audience;
- The application of physical education and sports programs, appropriate forms of communication, both in relation to the student/client and with other members of the school, sports, and recreational structures, while adhering to professional ethics and deontological rules;
- The encouragement of entrepreneurial spirit and transparency in the decision-making process;
- The development of an organizational culture based on quality, improvement, and promotion of highly qualified human resources for excellent university education;

Professional competencies
Professional Skills of Graduates of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Sports Program:
PC 1 The modular design (Physical Education and Sports) and planning of basic contents of the field in an interdisciplinary framework;
PC 2 The organization of integrated curriculum and learning environment with an interdisciplinary focus (Physical Education and Sports, Sports and Motor Performance, Kinesiotherapy, and Special Motor Skills);
PC 3 The evaluation of physical growth and development and motor quality according to the specific requirements/objectives of Physical Education and Sports, as well as of the attitude toward independent practice of physical exercise;
PC 4 The description and demonstration of operational systems specific to Physical Education and Sports, grouped by age.
PC 5 The evaluation of the level of preparation of practitioners in Physical Education and Sports activities.
PC 6 The use of management and marketing elements specific to the field.
Transversal Competencies
TC 1 The organization of Physical Education and Sports activities for individuals of different ages and levels of preparation in conditions of qualified assistance, respecting ethical and professional deontological norms.
TC 2 The efficient fulfillment of tasks for the organization and conduct of sports activities.
TC 3 The use of digital programs, documentation, and communication in an international language.
