The George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Targu Mures had the honour of welcoming an academic delegation from the University of the Peloponnese, Greece, led by Professor Dr Athanasios Katsis, Rector of this distinguished institution.

The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which sets out a clear framework for academic and scientific co-operation between the two universities. The agreement includes:

• Developing joint study programmes in Pharmacy and Sports Science;
• Launching international PhD programmes and fostering advanced scientific research collaborations;
• Expanding academic exchange programmes and joint activities within the framework of European co-operation.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in UMPhST’s drive for internationalisation, strengthening its position as a dynamic academic presence in the European education and research arena.
