The George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș has been honored with the Silver Medal at the German Medical Award 2025, one of the most prestigious international recognitions for excellence and innovation in the medical field.

The award celebrates the vision and innovative character of the international educational project carried out at the UMFST-UMCH Campus in Hamburg, which has become a model of European academic collaboration.

The ceremony took place on Thursday, October 9, in Düsseldorf, in the presence of the Minister for Labour, Health and Social Affairs of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Karl-Josef Laumann, as well as numerous distinguished figures from the German academic, medical, and cultural sectors.

This distinction confirms UMPhST’s international recognition and reaffirms the university’s commitment to modern medical education, open and connected to European values.
