Project description:
1. Objectives
This project focuses on enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics, Informatics, and their applications by integrating active methods with traditional teaching approaches through CEEPUS network mobility. It includes 76 partners from 14 CEEPUS countries, and has received the CEEPUS Ministers' Prize of Excellence twice (2006 and 2013).
It plans to develop a shareable database with teaching videos, recorded lectures, course materials, and student work, as well as offer a virtual visiting professorship portfolio for hybrid mobilities and distance teaching in case of restrictions. The network's activities also include organizing online meetings, conferences, and summer universities.
The collaboration among partner universities ensures high-quality teaching programs that meet labor market needs. Partner coordinators, many of whom hold leadership positions, facilitate excellent communication with National CEEPUS Offices and the Central CEEPUS Coordinators, exchanging valuable experience during coordination meetings.
2. Main activities
- The implementation of the joint type program Central European Virtual Mathematics and Informatics Library
- Joint scientific publications - The creation of joint scientific papers published in internationally recognized journals.
- Recognition of mobilities - The calculation for the recognition of mobilities within the network.
- Course organization - Courses offered by different universities, participation in education and research at foreign universities, student participation in education and research at hosting universities.
- Organizing Summer University activities and planning a great number of various joint programs.
3. Results
- Outgoing mobilities – 1 mobility: at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, Faculty of Materials Engineering;
- Incoming mobilities – 1 mobility from the Department of Geometry, University of Rousse, Bulgaria, and 1 mobility from the University of Miskolc, Hungary;
- Participation in the Summer School for students at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, where took place a meeting with the local coordinators of the project.
