Project FOOD SAFETY FOR HEALTHY LIVING aims to increase the level of academic exchanges of good practices between its member group, using different types of activities to promote (bio)analytical techniques for food control (benefic/toxicologic aspects), health monitoring, healthy life (diets, lifestyle). The project proposal has as a goal to educate undergraduate, master, and PhD students from partner institutions in the EU, focusing on pedagogical strategies for (e-)teaching, (e-)learning, and (e-)evaluation in food safety to promote healthy living. It also targets educational staff and learners, enhancing cooperation between educational, cultural, and social institutions.

Key objectives include:

  • Promoting (tele)monitoring and bioanalytical food control and health monitoring methods.
  • Developing common (e-)teaching/evaluation materials in English (and Romanian/Slovenian) on modern e-teaching methods, incorporating ITC tools, e-learning platforms, and web-based exercises.
  • Organizing itinerant visits and short-term excursions between partner universities for sharing practical and didactical experiences.
  • Hosting an International Summer School in Romania and other partner universities, involving students and teachers to gather new knowledge.
  • Identifying opportunities for joint theses (undergraduate/master/PhD) and PhD coordination between institutions, including joint thesis defenses.
  • Disseminating the project’s outcomes and activities through academic and non-academic media, addressing food safety issues in schools and universities.
