George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Targu Mures announces the pre-admission period for the Master’s study programme “History of Religions – Religion and Politics.” Applications may be submitted until 29 May 2026.

Offered within the “Petru Maior” Faculty of Sciences and Letters, the two-year programme examines religion as a historical-political phenomenon, addressing traditions, myths, and institutions from historical and political science perspectives.

Courses are taught entirely in English by specialists trained in Western Europe and the United States. Students can benefit from Erasmus mobility programs at partner universities in Cork (Ireland) and Tartu (Estonia).

The curriculum includes topics such as religious fundamentalism, state–church relations in Central and Eastern Europe, religion in international relations, religion and migration, and the interpretation of sacred texts and objects, with a focus on the Romanian context and recent developments.
