On 18 September 2026, the first session of the joint project between the UMPhST High School and Heukseok High School in Seoul, South Korea, took place.

It was the first meeting between the students of the two schools who, despite the more than 8,500 kilometres separating them, quickly managed to create an open, natural and enthusiastic atmosphere. The activities prepared by Prof. Sol Kim and Prof. Briena Stoica turned the meeting into a dynamic space for interaction and mutual discovery.

It is a promising start for a collaboration that is only just beginning. In the next session, the students will deepen the cultural exchange between Romania and South Korea, and will then open a new chapter of the project through joint physics lessons.
