Professional Competencies

 

PC.1. The effective communication in at least two modern languages of high use (language B and language C), in a generous framework of professional and cultural contexts, by using specific registers and language variants in speech and writing (Competence level B2/C1 in both languages – see the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);

PC.2. The adequate application of translation/retroversion and written and oral mediation techniques from languages B or C into language A in areas of broad and semi-specialized interest;

PC.3. The adequate application of the general techniques of documentation, search, classification and storage of information, the use of computer programs (electronic dictionaries, databases, etc.), the mastering of the basics of technical editing and proofreading of texts, the use of programs for technical editing of documents on the computer and of document archiving techniques;

PC.4. The management of relationships in various institutional contexts (institution, economic enterprise, NGO) and the use of general and semi-specialized knowledge in the professional fields of application of the specialization;

PC.5. The proper use of communication in multilingual professional situations of linguistic and cultural integration, negotiation and mediation.

 

Transversal Competencies

 

TC.1. The optimal management of professional tasks and their execution on time, with rigor, efficiency and responsibility; compliance with ethical rules specific to the field (e.g..: confidentiality);

TC.2. The application of team communication techniques; the development of empathetic capacities for interpersonal communication and the performance of specific roles in teamwork with the aim of making the group’s activity more efficient and resource-saving;

TC.3. The identification and use of effective learning methods and techniques; awareness of the external and internal motivations of continuous learning.
