The Automation and Applied Informatics bachelor’s degree program is organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș. The AAI study program trains engineers for performing automation and applied informatics activities in order to conceive, design and automatically manage technological processes in different industrial branches.
Launched in 1984, the study program has operated continuously under different names (Automation, Automatics and Industrial Informatics), initially as part of the Sub-Engineering Institute in Târgu Mureș, and later on as part of the Faculty of Engineering. As a result of the educational studies being reorganized, the Automation and Applied Informatics study program has now become an university bachelor’s degree program, engineering, full-time courses, 4 years, 240 credits, and currently has a tuition capacity of 60 students/year. The program has been regularly evaluated and recertified by ARACIS in 2008, 2013 and 2019.
