Description

The Energy Systems and Information Technology study program operates within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș, ever since the year 2020. It is an ARACIS authorized program with a tuition potential of 60 students/year. The ETI bachelor’s study program is focused on training highly educated specialists by providing professional competencies in the specialized field of energy engineering.

Professional skills

  • The use of knowledge regarding the operational principles and the environmental impact of electrical and thermal energy production, transmission and distribution systems;
  • Explaining and interpreting the general and specific knowledge of technological processes within the electrical, thermal and hydraulic energy use systems;
  • Sizing and solving operating problems related to electrical, thermal and hydraulic equipment and installations;
  • The critical – constructive use of basic elements related to energy system management, in line with the relevant legislation and energy market principles;
  • The creative and innovative use of specific knowledge for the design and modeling of operating regimes and the exploiting of electrical systems
  • Independent and responsible use of specific knowledge for commanding, controlling and optimizing the functioning of electro-energetic systems.

Transversal skills

  • Identifying the objectives to be achieved, the resources available, the conditions for achieving them, the stages of work, the working times, the related deadlines and the related risks;
  • Identifying roles and responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team and applying effective teamwork and interpersonal techniques;
  • Efficient use of information sources, communication and assisted professional training resources (Internet portals, specialized software applications, databases, on-line courses, etc.) both in Romanian and in an international language.
