35 years in the service of every second: SMURD is a collective story of courage, solidarity, and trust, the story of people for whom professionalism, dedication, and devotion to saving lives have always been above all else.

Emergency medicine, which started in Targu Mureș as a pioneering initiative in practice and as an academic discipline at the university, has become a national model of excellence. Hundreds of thousands of interventions annually and adrenaline-filled moments for rescuers translate into new chances of life for those in critical situations.

At the Anniversary Gala, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Leonard Azamfirei, delivered a congratulatory message to those who carry in their hearts the mission to save lives. G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures remains committed to training generations of doctors and medical personnel prepared to face the most challenging situations, to be true heroes in the face of life.
