UMPhST High School and University Students in a Space of International Excellence

The participation in the 26th Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Talented Students, taking place in Szeged, Hungary has been a valuable and inspiring experience for the UMPhST community. The event brought together scientists, Nobel laureates, researchers, and talented young people in a dialogue on knowledge, excellence and the future.

In this context, 96 students from UMPhST High School, accompanied by 12 teachers, together with UMPhST students, took part in the event, having the opportunity to engage directly with an international academic and scientific environment and to better understand what excellence truly means.

UMPhST’s presence at such an event, as the first international university associated with the programme, conveys an important message about openness, engagement and confidence in the new generation.

At the same time, the participation also provided the opportunity for bilateral meetings between the Rector of GE Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures, Professor Leonard Azamfirei PhD, and rectors of leading Hungarian universities, aimed at strengthening institutional relations and elevating the university collaborations to a higher level.

Such meetings show us not only what differentiates us, but, more importantly, what unites us: respect for education and the shared desire to build together.

E pluribus unum.
